The Wedding of Becci and Richard Gaga at Coombe Abbey in Warwickshire

Article by Lee Glasgow

So I have known the Groom for many years as he is a Hairdresser In the local village near Hinckley in Leicestershire, I have always, thought Id love to capture his wedding, when the time came, with his distinctive quiff and funky tattoos, I knew he would make a dapper Groom, so when He contacted myself , I was really excited, as I knew it would be a relaxed stylish wedding. His wife to be Becci had a personality to match, she was so relaxed and simply beautiful.
Their Wedding Ceremony was at St Catherine’s Church in Burbage Leicestershire. It was at this beautiful Village Church that I captured some images of the Bride and her Grandma, I simply love this opportunity as apart from being absolutely lovely to watch and make for beautiful images, I know the Bride will always treasure them, an added bonus for me was the Grandma had two Daughters, so they jumped in on the action too.

After about 15 minutes of people catching up, we headed off for the wedding reception at Coombe Abbey in Coventry. Coombe Abbey has many areas to capture beautiful images of Wedding couples, I always try and work quickly at weddings as I’m very conscious that couples maximise their time with their Wedding guests and with each other.

Like most wedding’s we have a 90 minutes from the end of a Wedding service to the start of the wedding breakfast, that’s why I work hard with my clients, to work out a flow, so guests and the couple are not in front of my ugly mug, longer than is necessary!

I have this little method, I wrote down a list of things that put me in a bad mood!

  1. Thirst
  2. Hunger
  3. Being Cold
  4. Being Bored

So when I approach every wedding I engineer all these feelings out!

Let the Guests meet and chat, let the eat and drink and don’t keep them hanging around for too long, all of this helps the Wedding guests have a great time, It also helps me have a stress free day at the office.

If you want any more information on how I approach a Wedding, just invite for a tea or better still a G&T

Have A wonderful 2018

Cheers
