Hothorpe Hall, Theddingworth, Leicestershire was the chosen wedding venue for Kirsty & James

Article by Lee Glasgow

The year certainly is flying and the question on everyones lips is, are we going to have warm dry summer? because at the minute it really is, like a pick and mix, we don’t know what the weather will be in the next hour let alone the next day or week, anyway i digress with my weather report! I find myself driving down the road to Hothorpe Hall, Theddingworth, Leicestershire. for the wedding of Kirsty & James, As I have mentioned before, I’m always moving forward and developing as a wedding photographer, & after viewing this weddings edited files, I feel a little burst of pride to see the emotions and relationships I have captured for Kirsty & James, or as my wife would say, I’m blowing my own little trumpet! I don’t think this is the case, I’m very aware of the difference between pride and being full of myself! I do feel as time goes on I’m discovering that I’m instinctively capturing emotions and relationships, where as in the past, I looked at my peers images and thought I wish I could be that photographer. One relationship that really hit me was between Kirsty and her dad, Her Dad is a lovely man, that really went out of his way to make me feel welcome and said some really nice things to me as I was leaving. After her first dance with her handsome groom James, she shared her second dance with her father, as I glanced around the room, it was impossible not to feel the emotion comings from the wedding guests as tissues were at the ready! Hothorpe Hall gave us a fantastic venue, with lovely staff, Kirsty & James brought a loving wedding party, with annoyingly good looks! I could not really fail!
