Holdenby House Wedding Photographer
The historic Holdenby House is situated in the rolling hills of the Northamptonshire countryside, and it is truly one of the most beautiful East Midlands wedding venues I have ever had the pleasure of shooting at. I can’t recommend it highly enough for couples looking for a traditional wedding with a touch of luxury. Holdenby House is the perfect venue for wedding photography.
Holdenby was build in 1583 and as you walk through its grand hallways and gorgeous rooms you really can feel the history of the place. The decor throughout is luxurious and traditional, and I’ve had a lot of fun capturing poignant wedding day moments in this impressive house.
The wedding of Sarah and Michael at Holdenby is one job I will remember for a long time to come; the place was made even more beautiful with some special touches and added decorations from the wedding party. This gave the opportunity from some really creative wedding photography, which is very much my style as a wedding photographer.
It’s not just the house at Holdenby that makes this wedding venue so wonderful; it’s the surrounding gardens, too. Here you’ll find sophisticated sculpted hedges, fragrant borders, carefully chosen greenery in keeping with the 1500’s style and delightful silver-leafed plants. The garden is regularly open to the general public and I highly recommend a visit if you ever get the chance; it’s a fantastic place to explore.
Wedding Photography at Holdenby House
Snapping wedding photos out in the Holdenby grounds is a lot of fun, particularly in lovely spring and summer weather. It really does make my job a lot easier when taking photos with such a fantastic backdrop; all I have to do is guide the wedding party into the right places and shoot away, letting the gorgeous gardens speak for themselves.
A warm, welcoming atmosphere
By far one of my favourite things about Holdenby House is its atmosphere. Yes, the grounds and house are both spectacular, but the venue has a wonderfully friendly and welcoming quality that can be tough to find at these kinds of stately homes. Each time I have photographed at this venue I have been blown away by the hospitality of the Holdenby staff and couldn’t recommend the house highly enough to couples who want a balance between stylish luxury and warm, friendly atmosphere.
If Holdenby House is the venue for you I’d love it if you chose Lee Glasgow wedding photography, simply because I’m desperate to go back and capture even more beautiful photos! Drop me a line if you’d like to have a chat about all the creative ideas I’ve got up my sleeve. Take it from me, the place is stunning.
