The Wedding of Faye and Nathan at Brownsover Hall in Rugby, Warwickshire, was the first wedding of the year for me, so I had a number of things I wanted to prove to myself.
There are a number of world class wedding photographers that produce works of art for their bridal couples, they all work in totally different ways, as different artists create paintings with varying styles, these photographers create timless images that are poles apart in terms of style, composition and how they show the emotion of the wedding day as they see it through their own eyes.
I have always thought what will my style be, which photographer would I like to emulate. The reality Is that Im becoming a hybrid of all my faviourite photographers.
Day by day im learning new photographic techniques, and like all artists, somtimes I have to get the eraser out while in the pursuit of perfection. Of coarse I’m not pretending to be the finished article how boring would that be, Im enjoying learning, creating and re thinking my photographic style.
The challenge I set myself for Faye and Nathans Wedding, was to create beautiful styled portraits, with a mix of natural images of people enjoying the day, While under the pressure of a wedding days time restraints.
Please take the time to really look at the night times disco images, see the characters, look at their expressions, they are relaxed, having real fun with their freinds and family enjoying the great sounds coming from the DJ, losing themselves in a world of music. this for me is what photography is all about.
Comment via face book from the Brides son, James Carbon Hetherington,
“you did an amazing job, and its a testiment to your skill that you took such flawless photos and still had time to socialise and be a part of the whole night from somewhere not behind a lens =]”
