Fashion photography for every occasion
Fashion photography for any occasion, for me makes complete sense, If your young and fashionable (two things, I can not claim to be) then surely you want funky well styled images.
This style of photography can be used anywhere at any location, they can also be for any occasion, such as birthday photoshoots, models portfolios, Valentines gifts or just some really nice images capturing youths beauty.
The images displayed here are of Dani and her younger sister Frankie as a gift for their Mum on Mothers day.
This style of shoot is fun and relaxed, even the shyest person would love one of these photographic experiences.

Faye and Nathans Beautiful Wedding at the Stunning Brownsover Hall In Rugby Warwickshire
The Wedding of Faye and Nathan at Brownsover Hall in Rugby, Warwickshire, was the first wedding of the year for me, so I had a number of things I wanted to prove to myself.
There are a number of world class wedding photographers that produce works of art for their bridal couples, they all work in totally different ways, as different artists create paintings with varying styles, these photographers create timless images that are poles apart in terms of style, composition and how they show the emotion of the wedding day as they see it through their own eyes.
I have always thought what will my style be, which photographer would I like to emulate. The reality Is that Im becoming a hybrid of all my faviourite photographers.
Day by day im learning new photographic techniques, and like all artists, somtimes I have to get the eraser out while in the pursuit of perfection. Of coarse I’m not pretending to be the finished article how boring would that be, Im enjoying learning, creating and re thinking my photographic style.
The challenge I set myself for Faye and Nathans Wedding, was to create beautiful styled portraits, with a mix of natural images of people enjoying the day, While under the pressure of a wedding days time restraints.
Please take the time to really look at the night times disco images, see the characters, look at their expressions, they are relaxed, having real fun with their freinds and family enjoying the great sounds coming from the DJ, losing themselves in a world of music. this for me is what photography is all about.
Comment via face book from the Brides son, James Carbon Hetherington,
“you did an amazing job, and its a testiment to your skill that you took such flawless photos and still had time to socialise and be a part of the whole night from somewhere not behind a lens =]”
Wedding Venues
As a Contemporary Wedding Photographer, I’m always looking at ways to create beautiful wedding images, one of the key ingredients for a classic wedding image is the location. Over the time I’ve been photographing weddings, I have visited some stunning locations, so I thought It’s about time I highlighted these gems in and around Leicestershire, Warwickshire and the Midlands, so that future wedding couples have a choice of beautiful well recommended venues.
http://www.thecityrooms.co.uk The City Rooms is a Georgian, Grade 1 listed banqueting venue and boutique hotel in the heart of Leicester city centre. After a careful two year restoration and refurbishment project The City Rooms has been brought back to life. Opening its doors once again for business in October 2006, it is now a very popular venue for Conferences and Weddings alike. This stunning, historic venue attracts guests from all over the East Midlands and further afield. Built in 1792, it is a venue steeped in history, with many fascinating features, giving evidence of the original plans for the building to become the premier hotel in Leicester. Used primarily as a venue to hold events, The City Rooms is also now open as first intended over two hundred years ago. The four lavishly decorated boutique hotel rooms are one of the best kept secrets in the city centre. All the above information can be found on the home page of the city rooms website, but I love the city rooms not only for its undeniable beauty, but for the quality of service in every aspect of a wedding couples big day, The first time I walked into this family owned venue, I was made to feel welcome, If you would like any information on the city rooms, feel free to contact me, or to view this unique venue contact Vicky at the City Rooms.
http://www.foliohotels.com/brownsoverhall/ Brownsover Hall Hotel is a Grade II listed Victorian Gothic mansion nestling in 7 acres of woodland and garden. This magnificent building has a dramatic interior with sweeping staircase and crackling log fires. With rich colours and plenty of character and charm the Brownsover Hall Hotel has a distinct unique charm. I really do love Brownsover hall for many reasons, A past bride described it as looking shaby sheek, I don’t know what that means, but I do know It has a special feel about it, the rooms have gothic features and beautiful warm wall coverings, as mentioned above Brownsover has 7 acres of woodland and gardens. Located in Rugby Warwickshire this wedding venue is well worth a visit.
http://www.bosworthbattlefield.com/visit/tithe_barn.htm I will be visiting this venue in the next couple of months, and I will post my thoughts on it, What I will say for now is that this venue is a really different alternative to a traditional venue, the building for me is funky and contemporary, with its timber and glass structure, And I can not think of a more historic location than this.
http://www.anstyhallhotel.com/ MaCdonald Ansty Hall is a Grade II listed Georgian Mansion Dating Back to 1678. Set in eight acres of grounds in the rolling Warwickshire countryside.
http://www.kilworthhouse.co.uk/weddingsintro.htm The most important day of your life deserves a special setting – a location that’s not just out of the ordinary, but extraordinary. That location is Kilworth House Hotel. Kilworth House stands apart from the everyday world – a place of timeless warmth, elegance, and gracious living, set amid 38 acres of rolling parkland. The bedrooms are palatial and the food is superb, while the attentive staff understand what makes a guest feel special. You can not mistake the beauty of kilworth house and it’s parkland, I have to add however that it does come with a price tag, if however your budget will stretch, kilworth house is a definate contender.

http://www.halsteadhouse.co.uk/ A unique wedding venue set in 170 acres of rolling Leicestershire countryside, the elegant Georgian Halstead House with its two converted Victorian built barns provides a special atmosphere for wedding receptions and parties and is licensed for civil ceremonies. I have only visited this venue once, but as first impressions go, I love it! this is a working farm, it is rustic and beautiful, its a far cry from a conference center style hotel, I will be photographing a wedding there later on this year

http://www.noseleyhall.co.uk/ Noseley Hall was built by Sir Arthur Hazlerigg in 1729, in an exceptional position overlooking the famous rolling Leicestershire grasslands. The Hall has panoramic views that are unrivalled in this part of the country. The house is still the private home of the Hazlerigg family who have lived on the site since 1419. The peacefulness of the setting, just 65 minutes by train from London, makes Noseley the perfect setting for a variety of exclusive functions. It is the perfect wedding reception venue in the beautiful Leicestershire countryside. The Hall is always hired on an exclusive basis. This venue for me is a one off, with it’s own family chapel and beautiful grounds, this venue really needs to be on your radar.

Ricoh Arena
Christmas was at full swing in Coventry Warwickshire at the Ricoh Arena http://www.ricoharena.com/ I was asked to photograph three party rooms, one of which held over 2500 people. The night was a full of entertainment from fairground rides to Opera singers, finishing off with an Abba tribute band. The images I was asked to take were to reflect the vibrancy and fun of the evening for promotional material in the New Year.
Coombe Abbey Warwickshire Family Winter Walk
What a lovley way to capture a family being relaxed and enjoying the crisp winter air at a stunning location in Coventry Warwickshire (http://www.coombeabbey.com/) .
These style of photoshoots are always relaxed and natural because families are not enclosed in a strange room with large bright lights, but they are free to run around to thier hearts content in the fresh air.
Family get together in Leicestershire
Hannah wanted to capture a moment when all her family and loved ones were together, she chose to have a beautiful sunday meal at East Gostcote Golf Club Leicestershire(http://www.beedleslake.co.uk/).
My plan was to join them after the meal, however Hannah caught sight of me and conviced me to join them for pudding and coffee, well I thought it would be rude not too.
After photographing the parents and Grandparents, Hannah took the opportunity to enjoy a small walk and a fun little photoshoot with her partner damon who was supposed to be the shy one loved every minute, even thou he would never admit it.
If you would like me to photograph you and your family at home or on location, just give me a call.

Nikki and Dans Wedding Leicester, Leicestershire
Wedding Photographers Leicestershire have the chance to photograph many fantastic weddings, at various locations, every now and again we are presented with a date and location that will both inspire and challenge us. Last months wedding was at a stunning Leicester venue on a rainy winters day, I felt both inspired and challenged. Nikki and Dan’s Wedding was always going to be different, the venue was http://www.the-empire.co.uk/empire.html which is a stunning old church which has been a historic landmark since it was built in 1870, along with two live bands, a stand up comedian and sausage and mash for tea, I knew I had to pull out some beautiful images for them.
